The Financial Times in November 2019, cited the following: Figures from Public Health England show 131m working days a year are lost to sickness absence in the UK and one in three workers with long-term health conditions has not discussed it with their employer. The costs to the UK economy and the government are an estimated £50bn. In the US, the Global Wellness Institute has put the annual financial loss to the economy of illness at work at $2.2tn. Employees spend the majority of their waking hours at work, be it physically at the workplace, travelling or working from home. Therefore the workplace is the perfect environment to sow new seedlings of health and wellness within employees, to help create a healthier and empowered workplace community.
Why do many businesses now invest in the health and wellness of their employees?
With a dramatic increase in the rise of mental health conditions in the UK, such as anxiety and depression, as well as autoimmune diseases, such as arthritis and crohns disease, many employees are forced to take sick leave. Also, when these employees are at work, due to these common issues, they are not able to work to their full potential. With recent science shifting primary focus to gut health, (with the vagus nerve running directly from the gut to the brain and visa versa), gut health is now more important than ever as a key to the re balancing of mental health, restoring focus and productivity of employees. The top four reasons for absence in 2018 in the UK workplace were coughs and colds, pain, accidents and mental health (anxiety, stress and depression).
Stress, anxiety and depression is on the rise in the UK workplace. In 2017/18 these issues accounted for a staggering 57% of all working days lost due to ill health. Many studies show this has risen significantly in the last two years, especially due to the impact of COVID. One of my core focuses within coaching is tackling and ultimately, with many clients, actually conquering their mental health issues.
What does working with IntegrativeLiberty look like?
Workshops - 1 hour Zoom (Typically up to 30 people per workshop) - POA
I offer Zoom Workshops exploring integrative health. I work through with your employees the how, what, where, when and why we make certain choices on and off the plate as to what we pile into our bodies. We work as a team to decode how that may not be benefiting us at home and especially in the work place, where many of us spend the majority of our waking hours. We follow this with me imparting the tools to how WE can regain control of our current mental and physical health and the health of our future, by fuelling our bodies to feel more energised, experience less brain fog, decrease stress and lessen the likely hood of burn out.
Key Workshop topics on offer include - Stress management, Weight Management and finally Sugar Detox. These include PDF takeaways, including food diary worksheets, the ten steps to weight management, ten steps to stress less and ten steps to giving sugar the shove. Also, e booklets on herbs and spices and exclusive discount codes to leading brands of natural supplements.
*Typically I might run several workshops over the course of a day. Sometimes repeating workshops that are particularly well subscribed, for larger corporate clients.

1 ON 1 Employee Health Coaching - As part of their benefits package - POA
I offer one to one health coaching for staff within their benefits / incentives packages. This would involve me coaching employees privately at regular intervals to navigate them on their personal wellness journey. Coaching is done remotely, via zoom. Typically, I am paid a retainer by corporate clients to offer a set number of hours private coaching per month.
These sessions are key to targeting and combating work related stress. I will be both cheerleader and coach to your employees, using bespoke tools based on the individuals needs and adapting their work and personal life to a point where they feel both balanced and empowered.
We will look at areas such as energy boosting, brain fog, mental health and how to keep vigour in this socailly distanced time. I have clients who work multi nationally and need to keep energy levels consistent across many time zones, thus high levels of stamina are vital to preventing burn out.
Studies reveal that health coaching programmes who provide the participant with access to the same coach for the duration of their participation work best, due to the relationship of trust and accountability that is delved over time. In a similar way that counselling works.
